A pair of messages for Easter 2023 - one from Matthew's account of the crucifixion looking at how the episode centres around mocking and how the irony of that brings out four clear truths and then - second, looking at the Thomas account in John's gospel and considering his journey from doubt to worship and then to witness.

It has been a letter that has changed the world by changing numerous people down through the ages by it's powerful and masterful explanation of the Gospel of God.

These messages are just adhoc and don't form part of a larger series and are not related to life-cycle events such as dedications etc.

This series picks up what is known as Jesus' Farewell Discourse (traditionally John 14-17) and also includes the introductory chapter where Jesus shows, in many ways, what it means to truly love one another.It teaches us how to maintain our joy when everything around us might be caving in.

This series has much to encourage and strengthen us.It has the theme of God's sufficient grace running through and dwells much on Christ and His salvation.It also has the theme of suffering present from start to finish and that helps us a lot at this time of world uncertainty with COVID-19.
